The CINSim Tool consists of two packages. The CINSim Core is needed to perform the simulation in contrast to the editor CINSim GUI, that graphically describes the interconnection network.
To use CINSim, both packages are usually required.

Sources CINSim Core and CINSim GUI

Besides the tar.gz files, we now offer rpm an deb files for CINSim Core to ease the installation procedure.

Packages CINSim Core

CINSim-Core 0.6.3

This archive contains the source files of the CINSim core applications version 0.6.3. You will need to have

    • XercesC++: >= 2.8
    • Gnu Make: >= 3.81
    • Gnu libtool: 2.2.6
    • Gnu Scientific Library: >= 1.11
    • bison++: >= 1.21.11

installed to compile the sources and run CINSim. To use the enable-mrip option for distributed simulation runs,

    • MPICH: >= 1.2.5 or LAM/MPI: >= 7.1.4

is also required.

CINSim developers will also need

    • Gnu Automake: >= 1.10.1
    • Gnu Autoconf: >= 2.63
    • CppUnit: >= 1.12.0

We recommend to install the CINSim GUI version 0.6 first. Refer to the handbook or the quick installation section for further installation notes.

CINSim-GUI 0.6

This archive contains the sources to generate the jar files of the CINSim GUI version 0.6, the XML schema used for creating/validating XML files defining simulation sets and some example files. The jar archives are built using Sun Java 1.5, which must be installed. Refer to the handbook or the quick installation section for installation notes.

You will need to have

    • Sun Java: 1.5

The software package CINSim is provided pursuant to the following agreement containing restrictions on its disclosure, duplication, and use.

The registered user of CINSim is allowed to obtain copies of the software tool CINSim (binaries as well as sources) for non-profit use. If other people from the registered users organization work with the tool, he is responsible for their compliance with this agreement. People interested in getting the tool have to contact the provider of CINSim.
